Eleanor Vane holds an MA in Early Modern European History and spent years working in museum archives before turning to fiction. She lives in Edinburgh and travels extensively to research the settings of her novels.

Her debut series, The Thornfield Inheritance, spans five centuries and three continents, following three generations of Thornfield women bound by a centuries-old pact and the gift of reading emotional residue on objects. Historical romance with the scope of a saga and the intimacy of a love letter.
